Original report by Jonas Wolz (Bitbucket: jonaswolz, GitHub: jwolz).

Original issue 10 created by jonaswolz on 2012-11-01T09:37:36.000Z:

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Installing YajHFC with recommended settings
  2. Trying to start it by clicking the desktop icon
  3. Read the VB error on screen and be frustrated

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Script: C:\Program Files\YajHFC\execyajhfc2.vbs
Line: 338
Char: 2
Error: The system cannot find the file specified.
Code: 80070002
Source: (null)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.5.2

Please provide any additional information below.
This is the second time getting this error on two different systems. On other machines it works great even though they all have the same software installed.

Thanks for your bug report.

First, as a quick check:
Does YajHFC start when you double click the C:\Program Files\YajHFC\yajhfc.jar file?

Then, please copy the attached file to C:\Program Files\YajHFC and start (double click) it.
It should show a message box with the command line it is about to start.

I would like to know two things:

  1. Please send me the contents of that message box (screenshot)
  2. The command line probably starts with something like "C:\Program Files...\javaw.exe". Please check if javaw.exe exists in that path. (if not: does the whole directory not exist or only javaw.exe?)

Thanks!
Jonas

Thanks for your quick response!
YajHFC starts by double clicking the C:\Program Files\YajHFC\yajhfc.jar file an you're right the directory exists but javaw.exe is missing!

Which Java version are you using on that computer?

Please also try if you can start YajHFC using the attached execyajhfc2.vbs Script (simply replace the old version in C:\Program Files\YajHFC with it).

It did not start with the attached file because java.exe was also missing in that directory.

I dont know what was wrong with the java installation but now i have removed all java files and reinstalled the 32bit and 64bit version of java 7u9.
Now it works great with the original files!

Thanks for help even if it was my fault, sorry!
