8. Mathematics Refresher

Despite what many other guides may say, you won't be using a lot of deep mathematics as an entry-level data scientist.

The most important subject areas are statistics and probability. Linear algebra and calculus will only come up a few times, so we'll teach the concepts at that time. Programming confidence, intermediate software engineering skills and ability to wrangle data are much more important.
