When I try to connect to the server, both visual studio and cmd asks me for a password, which I do not remember setting except for the SSH key submitted in gg.kaist.ac.kr.
I do have the id_ed25519 file in .ssh in my home directory. So I'm not sure what's the problem here.

Same problem here.
My student id is 20140600. I submitted the public key to the serve, and I accessed the server with
ssh s20140600@cp-service.kaist.ac.kr -p10005
but the server requests password.

I had issues with the VSCode yesterday, even though I could ssh through the terminal. So, I messed around with everything and accidentally deleted my keys. I have uploaded a new generated public key, could you please update it for me? Thanks!

Did you try ssh -i <private key path> s20140600@cp-service.kaist.ac.kr -p10005?

I have same issue. I tried ssh -i ~/.ssh/id_ed25519 s20140681@cp-service.kaist.ac.kr -p10005, but the server still requires password.
My student ID is 20140681.

I have same issue too. I submitted the public key to the server, and I tried to connect to the server using ssh -i <my private key path> s20180238@cp-service.kaist.ac.kr -p10005, but the server asks me for a password.

  • I uploaded the keys again. Plesae check again.
  • If the problem persists, please try to debug your self, and if you still cannot resolve it, paste the result of ssh -i <private-key-path> -vvv s<student-id>@cp-service.kaist.ac.kr -p10005.

My student id is 20170624 and os is windows10.
I tried with "ssh -i C:\Users\youngin.ssh\id_ed25519 -vvv s20170624@cp-service.kaist.ac.kr -p10005", but timeout occured.

Here is result of command:

@choyi0521 If you visit https://cp-service.kaist.ac.kr/mm in your browser, what does it say? It should show you some page. If not, it's likely that your internet connection is a problem...

But when I tried with the same command as yesterday, it asked for password without timeout. I'll try debugging.

I'm still stuck in that problem. I definitely uploaded the key and am trying with the same pair of keys, but the connection requests password.

Based on the results from several lines below, I think that it automatically request password since it fails to send local key. Has anyone experienced a similar situation?

In addition, I uploaded the key twice and used the last key pair. I also wonder if this can be a problem.

I also uploaded two keys and tried with the latest one. Therefore, I tried to delete the known_hosts first, and ssh again. Here is the result:
