For a long time (more than 4 months), we are trying to find a good name for this project. I still remember that @clr-apache, @tedliu1 and me trying to get some name in the mail list but none of them is ready for use. It is always not easy to get a name that can make everyone happy (and also available).
However, this situation is going to change for our project now. Last week I happened to see a domain name is available: OSS.Chat . It makes me feels that's exactly what our project should be named! (And we already have the GitHub App name: osschat)
After we have a short discussion in the project WeChat group, everyone seems to agree that this name is a good name. Today, @zhuangbiaowei moves super fast and we own this domain name now!
Looking forward to switching to this new name, and I believe it will be a very important milestone for our project to be recognized by the open-source community, from the marketing perspective.
