Does not work correctly in hyprland (Wayland)

I installed birdy via cargo as it has not been packaged in the AUR yet. In hyprland it installs fine but when I run it, it appears to grab an image for selection, but the cursor does nothing. Perhaps I do not understand how to operate it?

Pressing ESC returns everything to normal.

You should be able to hover on borders, press left mouse button and then dragging borders. So that you can change an area to be saved. You can also use special keys in order to draw on the screen as specified [here].(https://github.com/kakoc/birdy#usage)
Then you can press Enter so that it will be saved to a clipboard.
Now I'm trying to find a software for wayland which can show all pressed buttons so that I will publish a small video tutorial.
