Hello,

Is there is support for #EXT-X-PLACEMENT-OPPORTUNITY, similar to what is being described here (shaka-project/shaka-packager#650)?

+1 for this one. The workaround I was trying to build was to generate playlists with the same filename in the mapped mode to force the module to insert the EXT-X-DISCONTINUITY tags in HLS manifests and generate multi-period dash manifests. The second step for this approach would be to allow a custom tag to be added to the HLS manifest instead of the EXT-X-DISCONTINUITY (which, in this case, would be the EXT-X-PLACEMENT-OPPORTUNITY tag).

@flavioribeiro see my correspondence on this very element here -> #1039. I already did that, dynamically, and we have discovered that audio and video is way out of wack, especially in DASH. In HLS it is a bit less pronounced, but positioning is not accurate beyond the first segment.
