My feature request :
It could be great to have all the characters of a certain anime (all seasons included) displayed together.
Plus you can add the feature of sorting on your own waifugui.kar with a better integration.

The solution i propose :
It can be done by collecting the anime name and just sorting by alphabet order, you can just add it with the sorting on legonauzor gui (or your own gui)

An alternative :
Just adding a sorting feature on your own gui.

It's basically impossible for me to get all characters of a franchise, since those aren't registered on anilist, and there's no easy way to aggregate that data.

It might be possible to do, but not without multiple queries, which could be dozen on a large anime.

There are a few problems with the approach too:

  • alternative franchise, not part of the same anime could be selected
  • it's possible that characters that took part in cameos to show up
  • it's heavier on anilist's side

Considering all this, I'm not exactly sure it is something to implement, especially with the current rate-limit rules which are client based.

It might not be a bad idea on the front end though

i thinked you could just sort by alphabet letters like for characters but with the first anime/manga name to show that the character appears in. (by just sorting like this it should just appears in the right order)

Currently, lists are sorted by date. Using the external API allows us to sort any-way we want, (using the website too).

Closing since this is now kind of irrelevant
