What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open puttycyg
2. Try to execute a command line app such as mysql client or vim
3. The app never opens, just sits on command line churning away

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see the mysql command line client, or the vim editor instead
the window just sits on the last command and does nothing requiring a
Ctrl^c to exit.

Which version of PuTTYcyg are you using? Which version of Windows? What
version of Cygwin? Do you have a dual-core system or multiple CPUs? Any
firewall software installed?
Using PUTTYcyg 20071202 ( from about Putty screen ), windows xp, single
core p4, no firewall

This is a Cygwin-compiled vim and a Cygwin-compiled mysql client? If not, see
the
FAQ -- non-Cygwin programs (especially interactive ones) are not supported.

Assuming this is a non-Cygwin program.
