Can I use terminal macvim?

I wanna ask if it is okay to do backward search in terminal macvim? seems not working (I use iTerm2)

I'm not sure; I've never tried from terminal vim. It should work in
principle but for the reverse search I think MacVim.app is hard coded as
the app to search

Thanks for the quick reply!

Seems that this is more a macvim problem —
when using CLI macvim, it doesn’t start a server.
Only in app macvim, it comes with a server name VIM.
