Welcome to: Lets Taco 'Bout It

A web application designed to give users the ability to add their favorite restaurants and review them or just browse through the available restaurants and their reviews.

Try it out

  • The users will be able to create an account to access the application
  • Once the account is created, they will be able to add restaurant and reviews and edit and delete only their own
  • They will be able to access all other restaurants created and look through their reviews

Installation

  • Navigate to https://github.com/ken025/taco_bout_it
  • Click the green Code button and copy the link by clicking on the clipboard
  • Once the repository is cloned: run bundle install to load the gems and dependencies
  • Once that is done, run rake db:migrate to have access to the database
  • To access the web application run rails s and click the link provided to run your local host

Future Plans for this Project

  • Make the dropdown filter of cities to render unique city names
  • Make the dropdown filter for amount of stars functional
  • Make the option for the app to recognize the user's current location and use that information for the restaurant's location
  • Give users the ability to follow certain restaurants
