Hi Kevin,

its me again. I started using the new viewer and I pretty much like it. Still I have some suggestions for improvement:

  1. Could you implement an option to filter for the x-axis in QC-Plots (and other plots)? Usually I plot my metric against the "date - time" of each file. If I have a lot of files it sometimes comes in handy to be able to focus on a specific time range.
  2. In the Shiny app one could also overlay the parse results, thereby allowing run-to-run comparisons. Is it possible to implement this also in the VIZ-tool in a future release?

Thats it.

Best Robert

Hi Robert,

Thanks for the suggestions.

  1. I added an option to filter the file names in the QC plots, but I noticed a few days ago that it only works when they are display sequentially. I fixed this and it'll be in the next update. That is pretty basic filtering, though, and wouldn't be able to do what you are asking. I can add more advanced filtering, I'll just have to think about how I want to do it...
  2. Yes, this can be done.

I'm preparing for my phd defense in a few weeks, so I might not get to this right away. Or possibly I'll get to it immediately because anything is preferable to studying at this point. :)
