Highlight characters matched within extensions

Hi,

Is it possible to highlight the characters matched like CtrlP does with the file and mru buffers for extensions?

For instance, the matches for ap are highlighted below.

But with extensions the matches aren't highlighted. Below pr isn't highlighted.

I looked up the docs, which suggests that this may be possible by linking highlight groups. Can you clarify if this is currently supported and if yes which highlight groups need to be linked for matches in extensions?

No, highlighting of match is only supported in extensions that list filenames. I may try to extend it after #488.
This is the same request/issue as #431.
