I was wondering if one of the maintainers could read it through and check if this is already fixed on the fluentd-elastic images in quay (right?) or this remains to be looked at?
I'm going to do some digging, using above article as guide, though it does look very similar (if not same) problem we currently have.
How to reproduce?
Haven't tried though after reading above post, I'd say restarting ES nodes ..the challenge is the timing to do so. (See above post, pls). Else, it does happen rather often in our clusters and I'd be more than happy to collect logs/data/info. Pls advise. Thanks
The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
K8S: 1.20 - self managed
Fluentd-elastic helm chart 11.11.0
ES: 7.6.2
Problem: fluentd stops sending logs to ES. Worse part is that fluentd logs looks clean. Nothing showing my problems.
Work-around: restart fluentd daemon set that seats on the worker where pods produces logs (checked via cli) but doesn't make to ES cluster.
Found very interesting article that perhaps point where bug is: https://medium.com/uckey/why-fluentd-stopped-to-send-logs-to-elasticsearch-on-kubernetes-related-to-ssl-4ec1671b9ced
