How to handle the TERMINFO env

I have an old tool which cannot handle TERMINFO correctly. I have to unset the TERMINFO each time using that tool.
What if I unset TERMINFO in my zshrc, does it have bad effects?

yes it does have bad effects. create a function or alias to launch your old tool with terminfo unset just for it.
