Zim exports are not imported #718
Comments
how does the markdown of the exported notes look like ? |
It is a bunch of markdown (*.markdown) files in hierarchy of folders based on how the Zim notebook is. |
Do you have a piece of one of those markdown file. A short one, so we could try to understand what's wrong |
sure here is one in the root
|
I think it's because at the moment it only imports .md files. If you rename them to this it will work now, but I will also add support for .markdown extension. |
@laurent22 I do not think tthis is a duplicate of #748 In that bug it is stated that some Zim files were imported. This bug states that the import does not happen at all, bear in mind that Joplin supports .markdown at least that support was added as far as I can tell. |
@gerroon, the issue was that files were not recursively imported. Please try again when the next version is released (107+) and post back here if it still doesn't work. |
Operating system
Application
I exported my Zim notes as individual markdowns in a hierarchy which is how Zim does. I choose import directoy in Joplin but it does not import anything, it only creates an empty notebook with the name of the import folder.
I cant try single markdown because somehow Zim's single markdown export is broken I think.
thanks
