SLAC onboarding difficulties #61

Following steps 1 and 2 from https://lcls-users.readthedocs.io/en/latest/before/accounts/, I filled out the account request page (selecting access to LCLS as a collaborator, undecided between online/in-person) and immediately received a confirmation email with a process to set a password. Logging back in a few days later, the portal is active. But, there isn't a specific box anywhere to ask for a UNIX account. All I have is a basic "user portal". I see account (name / project) update forms, a way to send proposals, and a link to request a training account. The "Training and Access" dropdown option leads to an page with:

After filling out the Training Account Request form (which required me to enter a SLAC ID, so I put my email in place of a SLAC ID), I got linked to:
and a "Manual Login" process with a link to:https://slactraining.slac.stanford.edu/web-training-portal-0 The training request form also generated an email to me with a portal password. Also, note that I have never successfully filled out the "SLUO User Form" form linked by Step 1 from here: Because I am having issues with the Federated Identity authentication process that are being addressed through my organization's IT support. |
