Sorry I didn't respond to this but I see you solved it.
I am putting my spare time into creating a new library that will support all VAG connected cars and will be more general to implement instead of Home Assistant focused as this library is.
Until then I will only put in minimal effort into maintaining this and the Seat counterpart.

I use your library and modified your exemple to use with mqtt.
I just propose this modified file if you think it can help someone.
