I've tried using a HC-06 serial Bluetooth module but have been having trouble connecting the module to my windows machine. I would lean towards creating a wireless serial passthrough firmware application that runs on a separate coprocessor to give us more control. Again, the pico-probe firmware could be modified to serve this purpose.
