Option to hide the past events?

When we open calcurse, if we have several events today, and some of those have already passed, may be it would be handy to hide those past appointments? Or at least highlight not the first event of today but the first upcoming one?

Given this screenshot, my suggestion would be either to add an option to hide this 'Past event', or to move the highlight (green in this case) from the 'Past event' to 'Upcoming event'.
