Are events just all day appointments?

Are events just appointments for which no time has been input?
I.e. are events just appointments with only a description and nothing else?

Just want to confirm this. Trying to add a strikethrough feature for past events and appointments.
Already done with todo strikethrough (yet to make a PR).

If anyone wants to collaborate, let me know :)
