Downloading daily or monthly data

Is there a way to tweek a function or a configuration available to download daily or monthly data instead of hourly?

Yes, it is possible, but I need to do the summaries considering options for the timezone. BDMEP website takes summaries using UTC and I think that this is not the best option for most of the Brazilian users. I will take a look in that sometime this week.
