Text Selection Bug

 * Xed version: xed - Version 3.6.3
 * Distribution: Manjaro Linux - 24.0.4

Issue

Whenever I'm trying to select some text it keeps auto-deselecting text, whenever I try to highlight select something no matter how big or small the text selection is. Doesn't appear to be an extension problem, as I tried with all plugins disabled, but something else wrong with Xed is screwing with text selection.

Steps to reproduce

1. Highlight any bit of text within Xed in a text file.

Expected behavior

1. Select and highlight text

Other information
It's rather inconsistent and random at times when it decides to glitch out the text selection.
