Using ErrorMessage after <Field> Is it possible for the message to be inserted without dropping the rest of the panel down a line

I have this:

        <Field name="user" as="vscode-text-field" v-model="baseArgs[profIndex].mergedArgs.missingArgs[index].value" :rules="validateField"> {{ setUpper(item.argName) }}
        </Field>
        <ErrorMessage as="div" name="user" v-slot="{ message }"> 
             {{ message }}   
        </ErrorMessage>         
 </div>

and the result looks like this:

However, if an error occurs the error is placed below the input line but the rest of the panel shifts downwards to accomodate the new error message - which is to be expected.

Is it possible for ErrorMessage to insert the message without dropping the remaining input fields down ?
