Pagination: previous and next symbols are not rendering correctly on Chrome #26

Both current Chrome stable and Chrome Canary(on Windows) are not rendering the pagination previous/next symbols correctly.It is rendering correctly on IE 10 and latest Firefox though.

The characters used are U+2770 and U+2771 .

I had a quick look and it seems that Chrome has some issues rendering extended unicode characters on Windows(the same page appears correctly on Chromium on Ubuntu).
