Love app "can't be verified" on macOS #1554

I download the LOVE binary from the website and moved it into my applications folder. However, when I try to open it, I get this error:

You should be able to open it if you right click and use the Open menu option there. Once that's done once, it will continue to work without needing that step.

We can't really code-sign the love app ourselves because if we did that and someone creates malware which uses love, apple would disable execution of all instances of love on every macOS system. So for now we're leaving it up to individual game developers to code-sign their love apps if they want.

@slime73 unfortunately my company managed mac does not allow for that step... it's remotely disabled
