Reorganize the figures into the doc folder #95

At this point we have figures that are created on the fly when the doc is compiled and ohters (that take a long time to make) that are committed to the repository.

It would make sense to have a sub-folder structure, that would make easier to make a sensible .gitignore file.

Proposals are welcome.
