I suppose the most "prudent" thing to do currently would be to use react-arborist, but the bundle size seems excessive to me, so I plan to give this library a chance even though it is still in alpha.
In relation to the title of this thread, I wanted to point out or suggest the useDrag and useDrop hooks of react-aria, which work very well with touch devices and even with a keyboard
