What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Select some text in any application
2. Place cursor in terminal
3. Press mouse middle button

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The selected text should be pasted, but nothing happens.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Ubuntu 9.04 x86_64
