The app is very helpful, but there is a bug, which sucks a little bit:
After (re-)importing the data from my contacts, some of my contacts get shown twice.
Idk, but maybe it's good to know:
My contact book is sorted by surname.
Android 13, contacts synced with Google account
German settings
When I add new birthday information in my mobiles contacts, I need to import them into birday, which shouldn't be a problem. But some of my contacts (not all of them) with birthday information, which were also edited months ago, get shown twice like:
John Doe
January 2000
Doe John
January 2000
Until now, the only way to get rid of them is to delete the surname duplicates manually. Issue: They’re coming back with the next import...
The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
That's pretty normal, Birday can't detect the duplicates and the import procedure should be used to import the events and then manage them inside Birday, rather than updating them in the contacts app. If something changes in one contact, Birday will think it's another (new) entry. I'm open to suggestion on this though!
Hey @m-i-n-a-r , thanks for your awesome app!
