Quick tests show our day to day would be better than with Glide, rough numbers based on state of m3db repo as of (2018-05-14).

Dep

  • Time to run dep ensure with no vendor/: 11s
  • Vendor directory size: 22MB
  • Time to make m3dbnode: 3.5s

Glide

  • Time to run glide install -v with no vendor/: 27s
  • Vendor directory size: 123MB
  • Time to make m3dbnode: 7.7s
