Documentation issue #476
Comments
Welcome; hope it works out for you! And in the wiki, the Configuration page starts off with:
Nonetheless! …
Easy enough, just click on the directory in the upper right of the main screen. ( If you want to set the temp directory, that’s in Adv Prefs, and if you want to put shows in subdirectory, use the Save Shows option:
What happens during a Download is set by the Format, also picked on Main screen. Let me know if you have any other questions… |
Having a little trouble with the hard drive I bought. It is too thick for the enclosure. In any event I was wondering how do I enable automatic downloads so I don't have manually add a recording to the queue each time. KMTTG is abandoned and their cert is up in December. I am getting a head start while the old m1 mac minis are on sale. |
Unfortunately cTiVo uses the same cert, so unless someone leaks the next one, we’ll be in the same pickle… You can Subscribe to any show, just by dragging it to the bottom area, or hit CMD-N and type in a name (actually a regex) or ALL for every single show. More here |
Fortunately ctivo is still in development and will think of something. |

Recently install a MacOS system update. Yup there's a theTVdb issue here causing crashing. Looking at it but I'll track any comments on the issue #477 here: |
Looks like they fixed it. @rrwclc @talientinc Are you still crashing? |
I am new to mac but am fluent in windows and linux. I just purchased a mac mini m1 on sale for use with ctivo as the kmttg cert is expiring. I also purchased an external drive for it. I could not find in the docs how to set the output directory to my external drive. Also, while I have you on the line, I also can not figure out from the docs how to have ctivo download and decrypt but not reencode. Thanks. I will be setting up my mini tomorrow so I am sure I will have more questions then.
