  • I mistook it that way.
  • In reality this toggle means "Viewport follows playback" or "Viewport independent of audio playback"

Proposed improvement

  • Short term: Add a tooltip on hover: "Window content follows playback", "Window scrolls independently of playback", depending on the state it currently is in (not the one it will be after the next click!).
  • Mid term: Find a better icon
    • Even for me as a UX professional I knew/found no good best practises quickly.
    • FlightRadar24 has a "Follow plane on map" icon, being 4 arrows pointing inwards. I took that as a British Union Jack again and again, not very good either. I also considered "Magnet" or the icons which video/graphic editing software use for "snapping". But found no good icon so far.
