using codeigniter v3 php framework
with xe, simply declare hostname

'hostname' => '192.168.100.5:1521/xe',

switch to ee must put the whole string in oci_connect as hostname

'hostname' => '(DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = 192.168.100.5)(PORT = 1521)) (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVICE_NAME = EE.oracle.docker) (SID = EE)))',
