snes.xml: Added 9 prototypes. #9287

I think the official name for Ballz 3D was just Ballz - the rest of the title was the cover tagline. The Genesis title screen only says "Ballz", and the SNES one says "Ballz 3D" but it looks like someone wiped the subtitle from it. Edit: Even the SNES and Genesis manuals calls this "Ballz" - https://archive.org/details/snes-manual-archive/Ballz%203D%20-%20Fighting%20at%20Its%20Ballziest%20%28USA%29 and https://segaretro.org/index.php?title=File:Ballz_MD_US_manual.pdf&page=4 |
Yeah, nobody called it 'Ballz 3D' back in the day, at least not on the MD / Genesis, that was just part of the subtitle. The SNES art lacking the rest of the subtitle, I don't know, maybe people did call it Ballz 3D or even 3D Ballz? I didn't own a SNES. |
The box and cartridge for both the SNES and Genesis games have the subtitle though. I could put it in an |
The back of the SNES box refers to the game as Ballz, and the copyright blurb in the lower right corner does the same, but it does have the 3D bit in there too. https://snescentral.com/box.php?id=0217&num=0&side=back I'm not sure how to proceed here, sorry. ^^; |
Suggest going with "Ballz" as David suggested and "Ballz 3D - Fighting at its Ballziest" as an alt_title. On the spine of the cartridge, it just shows Ballz(TM). |

Hear ye, hear ye! I relent. The Ballz have it. The prototype has a unique "Ballz" only title screen anyway. The weird thing is I went back to test it when changing the title and it didn't run. I swear to god it worked before as lorom when I tested this, which I found odd because the finished products are hirom and use a DSP. Anyway, good thing I checked it again! |
