Mapbox API doesn't support new maki icons

Mapbox API for retrieving a standalone marker supports only icons Maki v0.5.0
It doesn't allow to work with new markers. It makes all the work after v0.5.0 useless.
Are there any chances to handle this?

There are more and more issues appear referencing this problem: #370, #374
It really doesn't make any sense to show new icons on the official web site, that you can't use.
