This can still throw the release connection error, until we restructure this code entirely

Rationale:

I think this is likely due to the error handling in the filters code (basically I accidentally introduced a "cannot call push on undefined" error, which would get caught by the .catch block; We really need to refactor all this filter code to be outside of the message handling lifecycle, but that needs events from the backend relating to blocks/mutes/etc

Basically one error is thrown in the Promise.all after we release the postgresql connection. Having the whole logic for building & applying the filter within the postgresql promise chain means errors are get eating by the catch that's design to catch postgresql errors. It should basically be a Promise.all(...).then(release & return results).catch(database err) and then the result of that promise should be awaited or .then('d for the actual "build & apply the filters" logic.
