one question: Why would you want to actively prevent users from joining a call that they already joined? This proved useful in the past when eg someone wants to share from a computer where no webcam is present and also use the phone for the webcam to see a video chat @SimonBrandner (and many other cases like this, handover from one to another device etc) |

@JMoVS Connecting with multiple devices is something we want to eventually support, but Element Call isn't ready for it today. In order to ship an MVP of group calls, we're implementing this temporary workaround. |

Ok - if it's necessary to make it work technically and doesn't work by default and is being disabled (which it sounded like), I'm relieved. :) I think handover from device to device is one of the most underrated but helpful features - on Teams (which I really loath), this is one of the things Teams made well |
