It becomes EOL on 27th June 2023, which is tomorrow as I write this. C.f. https://matrix-org.github.io/synapse/latest/deprecation_policy.html

We've decided that v1.87.0 (due out July 4th, 2023) should be the last release to support Python 3.7. You will thus need Python v3.8+ to run Synapse v1.88.0 (due out July 18th, 2023).

We can now do a PR and land this on develop now 1.87 RC is out
