Great project.

The 'RCH-6' is only listed as a H6 accessory, but engineers are (rightfully) lazy...I wonder whether there are other recorders supporting this (or similar) protocol?

Yes, I am very interested in if it will work for an H5

I wonder the same. I've been looking all around but I can't find a solid answer. I wonder if it works with the H4 and the H5.
If you have one of those and get to try this code, please let me know if it works or not!

Did a bit of arm-chair investigations; Zoom markets remotes for the 4 and the 5 which look similar to that for the 6....

That's correct, and the connector is still a 2.5mm jack. What is hard to find is the compatibility.
I'll write them an email and hope they reply. I'll post here any news I get from them.

Their customer support has been top tier in my experience. My H5's case got sticky after a few years (electrolysis), and they replaced the whole thing.

Got an answer! and it's good news:

Hello,
and thanks for reaching out to us.
Let me try to help get this all sorted out.

There should be no issue controlling older series. This should work for the H4n and H5 as well.

I hope this helps to clear things up, though of course if you have any other questions or concerns we might be able to help address please don't hesitate to let us know.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

So it seems like this should work with other models. If you get to test one, please let me know.

PS: I will update the README file to reflect this.
