GitLab CI presumably allows local runners on Linux, Windows, and macOS, so this is worth a try.

Somehow the git mirroring doesn't work here https://gitlab.com/mavsdk/MAVSDK
The webhooks notifying gitlab are working but GitLab doesn't want to fetch.
