The following commands can be used to reproduce this issue. Somehow the the fact that the pbes is made from an LTS and the number of equations is large seems to be important.

Using make_term_list for lists longer than 10.000 elements, the
list was not terminated with an empty list. Terms containing large
lists, as occurring in the example in bug report #1757 got corrupted.
Apparently, not too many of such large lists are being constructed,
given that this problem only appears to emerge now.
This was caused by a residual bug due the transformation to the parallel framework. For lists longer than 10000 elements the empty list at the end was not inserted. As this only occurred in very long lists, this was never caught by the soundness checks. Problem is resolved in above mentioned commit.
