Thanks, it shouldn't be hard to add but since we don't use EC2, I'm not sure of the right metrics to add. I'll poke about in the near future to see what we can gather and report on.

Great thanks. As a first step, we could definitely use the ElasticSearch builtin stats query to get most of the info we need. You can read more about it here: http://www.elasticsearch.org/guide/reference/api/admin-cluster-nodes-stats

Have a look at https://github.com/viniciusccarvalho/elasticsearch-newrelic - those were some very early efforts at an ElasticSearch plugin. Note that that plugin is not likely in usable form and it needs work to actually function.
