File deletions are sent in random order

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Delete a bunch of files in different directories from a session.
2. Check in.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The files should be deleted in a alphabetical order. Instead, the files are 
deleted in a seemingly random order, making the progress hard to follow.
