What is the time unit for the 'expires' argument?

You're right, it needs documentation. The unit is seconds from the current time, or if the interval is larger than 3 months, it's unix time (seconds since epoch). This is just how memcache interprets the number.

Great thanks! You may want to adapt 3rd-Eden's readme for this library since he did a good job of documenting the api.
