Cordova: Error reading version file #3709
Comments
Clear the application local state of your emulator. Exactly the folder |
@Slava is this something we can detect to print a better error (if it's too hard to make this never happen for some reason) |
@avital the reported issue doesn't have enough information to understand what happened. |
Here's the full report from Xcode
|
@ccorcos looking at your output, Meteor's Cordova plugin didn't find any new versions on disk, decided to load from the app bundle and successfully loaded everything. What is the problem you are reporting here? |
The app is hung up on the splash screen.
|
@ccorcos If it is a question asking for help, you can ask on the meteor-talk mailing list or stackoverflow. In case of the splash screen, look for some incorrect use of launch-screen package. |
@ccorcos Did you figure out what triggered the problem? Having a similar issue. |
O removed launch screen and things worked... there also may or may not have been an error in my code. not 100% sure. double check both those things. |
Same problem here. When I debug the app via Here are the logs:
And here are the logs from

I'm experiencing the same issue. https://forums.meteor.com/t/cordova-build-error-stalls-at-loading-screen-ios/1076 |
In my case it said
Would be wise to check for other errors? |
You were right @dotnetwise. In my case I found the issue while building for Android:
I'm using sewdn:collection-behaviours which (not sure if it's this package, or some of it's dependencies) require all Collection-definitions to use the new "Mongo" definition instead of the deprecated "Meteor" definition. |
I'm getting the same error as @ccorcos on iOS. The app is also hung up on the splash screen. |
HI guys. Getting same issue here: Was anybody to solve this?
|
@elvismercado I'm getting this error out of the blue, been digging around for hours for a solution. Were you able to identify the problem here? @Slava What's would be the equivalent to clearing the application's local state if I'm using an actual device? I would assume a delete and reinstall would do it, but no dice. The project builds find on other machines and devices, so I'd assume it would have to be my device or xCode. Running xCode 7.1 and iOS 9.1 if that helps. |
I'm getting this error when I try to run iOS.
I've tried rebuilding and all that jazz.
