Can you explain, how this is related to PowerToys, please? Does it only happen when a specific module is enabled?

Well, i uninstalled Powertoys and everything worked fine again. This is the second time i noticed this problem. On another PC I had the same problem, uninstalled PT and explorer was stable again.
I didnt configure PT so I think all modules were enabled. I am pretty sure it´s the File Explorer-Add-On which causes the crash of explorer. It seems buggy (e.g. displaying .svg, .psd, .ai sometimes worked, sometimes didnt.) Hope it get fixed because it´s really neat!

i just reinstalled it and will wait for the bug. Right now its working fine.

I have found this to be an issue as well. Reinstall seems to fix it but then it comes back. I noticed these 2 events in the system log. Perhaps related?

The access history in hive ??\C:\Users\trey\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.PowerToys.PowerRenameContextMenu_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData\Helium\User.dat was cleared updating 1 keys and creating 1 modified pages.

The access history in hive ??\C:\ProgramData\Packages\Microsoft.PowerToys.PowerRenameContextMenu_8wekyb3d8bbwe\S-1-5-21-1632957357-4192887031-272310750-1001\SystemAppData\Helium\Cache\d96b25f936578ee8_COM15.dat was cleared updating 1 keys and creating 1 modified pages.
