This issue is related to #17550.

Currently, different Windows and Linux have different key mappings. This becomes very annoying if you work with both operating systems. Right now the only way to unify the experience would be to manually go through each keybinding and change it to the same as the one on windows for example which would take lots and lots of time. It would be great if there was just an option in the settings to use the keymap of a different platform. This would probably have to come with a note, that some shortcuts might not work, since they are used by the operating system.
Alternatively they could be published as an extension, so one extension for each operating system.

If this is not possible, could it at least be possible to publish a keymap json file for each operating system (at least linux and windows, they should be mostly compatible)? I can't seem to find any file which contains VSCodes default keymaps.

Thanks!

EDIT: This appears to be a duplicate of #76006 which in turn was marked as a duplicate of #27385
