I saw a lot of windows "features" in this OS, like hlpFindIdealClockSource/hlpFindTimer, so Is this based on reverse engineering of Windows?

Nope, we did not do any reverse engineering, nor make any attempt to maintain source or binary compatibility with any Windows components.
