Hey Mitchell,
I'd like to expand on this project by building out the Battle.net Community APIs starting with Starcraft 2 (US).

Absolutely. Please try to follow the style of the Account service including tests (https://github.com/mitchellh/go-bnet/blob/master/account_test.go) and I'd love to see this!!
