For the use case also relevant for Bug 1807449 (cover window for each deck, or for selected tracks in library) it would be convinient to just leave the cover window open even if the selected track/deck has no cover image.

This is a critical bug, because you cannot use the Mixxx GUI anymore in this state.

2.2.0 is also effected, not 2.1.8 even not compiled with qt5.

I tried to address the bug title here:
a dummy image would allow to keep the cover window open when you found a nice place and size for it, but the new track doesn't have a cover attached. when another track WITH cover is loaded the window would be populated again.

The Auto Update of the window is broken.
There is some code for this but I am afraid it is a copy and paste left over from the original implementation.
